After using the eyedrop tool and spending minutes on this process these are my darks and lights. Realize that I haven't created the eyes or the lips as yet... you may start on the flower as well - I just like the flower so most of my energy will be making sure that it is perfect.

To create eyebrows, I do use the same process. However:

TIP: Hide all the layers so that they do not get in your way.

And for eyes..:

TIP: Make sure you do not make them look like almonds. They do give the photo personality, because they are unique and can be the most dominant of your image. You may also want to start by creating the white area first followed by the pupils and iris etc... and leave the lashes for last.

Lips are created the same way, however make sure you create a base color first and continue, I actually did the teeth first then the other parts.

I also added a few more touches on the image and...

Finally I did the flower... and this is my result...

I hope you learnt from this tutorial. Remember, a tutorial can't always make you a professional. The way to make perfect vectors is by practicing and you will get better and better with time. :-) Remember, I took 7 years to feel more confident about my illustrations.
